Brian Jensen

Brian Jensen’s interest in art began with a set of watercolors and outdoor adventures painting with his father, a graphic designer. He graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with an illustration major. Brian had a career as an illustrator creating paintings for a wide variety of national and international clients including the Wall Street Journal, American Express, and U.S. News and World Report.

Brian developed a style of painting that reflects his interest in graphic arts, Art Deco, and poster art. His traditional painting techniques create a warmth that only a human touch can create. Inspirational, positive ideas are represented with combination of graphically shaped images and a warm color palette. Large or small, Brian’s images read quickly and transform complicated concepts into simplified, graphic stories. All of Brian’s works are painted with acrylics on wood panels. He even constructs his own frames from local hardwoods.
